Our Community Garden

This week, third grade students in Mrs. Lewis' class have been learning about communities. We went out to write about how the garden is part of the Mullen-Hall community. Here is what they had to say:


The Mullen-Hall garden is behind my school. It is part of my community. Teachers, volunteers, and kids help us in the garden. We started to plant lettuce, beans, radishes, and beets.

We have a garden behind my school. It is a community garden. Little kids help in the garden. The best part is the lettuce.

The garden is part of our school community. People built the garden. There are sunflowers in the garden and scarecrows.

The school garden is part of our Mullen-Hall community. People from our community helped build the garden. There are sunflowers, scarecrows, and a shed. The kids in Mullen-Hall also helped fill and plant in the flower beds.

Our garden is part of Mullen-Hall's community in Falmouth. People and parents built the garden. There are sunflowers in the garden. All of them are bigger then me except for two of them. There are scarecrows in the garden.
